The park improvements donation program lists specific park amenities that private parties could donate toward.
Named Gifts: Named gifts are tangible, lasting reminders to future generations of the remarkable and generous contributions of donors, families, and organizations deserving of recognition or commemoration. For this reason, we are pleased to offer the following as naming opportunities: Benches, Tables, Athletic Fields, Playgrounds, Athletic Courts, Shelters, Light Fixtures, and Paving.
Nature Learning Sites: The Park & Recreation Department concentrates on maintaining and improving the natural environment in Pleasant Hill through the establishment of Nature Learning Sites. Sites are currently being identified throughout the city. A Nature Learning Site is an arrangement of features that focus on an educational sign or structure that may be combined with benches, tables, plantings, and a donor name plate. The mission of the sites is to provide passive recreation with an environmental education theme that will appeal to citizens of all ages. To participate in the Pleasant Hill Gift Opportunities please contact the Park & Recreation at 515.309.0049.
