Most materials are loaned for 2 weeks with a 5 day grace period. Items may be renewed over the phone as long as the item is not on hold for another patron. Videos and DVDs may be checked out for 1 week.
Services Available
Information: Phone the library for answers to your questions, or stop in for help. Materials available on a variety of How-To projects.
Reference Materials: Current reference books on many subjects.
Interlibrary Loan: If the library does not have a book you want, it can be borrowed from another location.
Computers: Several computers are available at no charge! Word processing, an encyclopedia, and games are available for patron use. There is access to the Internet and other computer services as well.
Children's Services: Story times, classes, contests, summer reading program, and many other activities! The library has a photocopier, laminator, computer scanner, fax machine, and typewriters available for public use for free or at a slight charge.
Outreach: Services provided to home bound patrons. The library also works with local schools to provide students with library services including story telling and book talks.
Adult programming: Classes and discussions on a wide variety of topics. The library staff is available for talks and tours to groups on request. The library is committed to providing services to all areas of the community including local businesses. Books available for checkout include a wide assortment of books on starting and operating businesses. Reference works include manufacturer's directories and other business related items.
Library Cards
Library cards may be obtained by anyone. A parent or guardian's signature is required for children under 12 years of age. There is no charge for a library card. Replacement cards are $2.
Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Materials
After the five day grace period, the late charge is 10 cents per item, per day, with a maximum fine of $2 per item except for videotapes and DVDs. Late charges for videos and DVDs are 50 cents per day, per item, with a maximum of $10. If an item is lost or damaged, a replacement cost will be charged. The borrower is responsible for all items checked out in his or her name.
Amnesty Day
Every Wednesday has been designated as Amnesty Day at the library. Return any item on Wednesday and no fine will be charged
