Humanities Iowa Programs

On Thursday, April 2nd at 6:30 pm, Denny Rehder will present a program entitled 'Grass Between the Rails'. The program celebrates Iowa’s railroad heritage with a unique blend of stories and original folk songs about the development of railroads in Iowa. The subjects cover events of national importance such as the race across Iowa to connect with the transcontinental railroad to the West, and local history

On Tuesday, April 21st at 6:30 pm, Dennis Goldford will be discussing 'Politics of Gridlock'.  In this era of increased partisanship and gridlock in Congress, how do we understand the reasons for this problem and its implications for governance and current American politics?

New Catalog

A new and improved catalog is now available! All passwords were set to the last four digits of the telephone number associated with the account. You will need to reset the password on the new system. Online Magazines

The library now has online access to seventy different magazines. A consortium of libraries, Central Iowa MagNet, has been established to provide access to our patrons. Once you download magazines, they are yours to keep! Click on the link here Online Magazines or go to Online Resources/Ebooks link for more information about this exciting new service. You must contact the library for the access code. Do not use your library card number. It will not allow you to set up an account!
