The Pleasant Hill Public Library serves residents of Pleasant Hill and the surrounding area. The mission of the library is to provide quality library services that meet the informational needs of all segments of the community in a welcoming, professional, and courteous manner.

Summer Reading Program

Thanks to all of you, the Summer Reading Program has been a great success! All of the activities have been well attended and over 750 children and adults have participated. Drawings for the grand prizes in each category will take place during the first week of August. Thank you for your participation!


No Story Times and Crafts in August


Story Times and Wednesday Afternoon Crafts will not be held during the weeks of August 3rd, 10th and 17th. All activities will resumes the week of August 24th.


Online Magazines

The library now has online access to seventy different magazines. A consortium of libraries, Central Iowa MagNet, has been established to provide access to our patrons. Once you download magazines, they are yours to keep! Click on the link here Online Magazines or go to Online Resources/Ebooks link for more information about this exciting new service. You must contact the library for the access code. Do not use your library card number. It will not allow you to set up an account!
