The Pleasant Hill Parks and Recreation manages the city's public parks and open spaces. A variety of recreational opportunities are available throughout the year. Open shelters, baseball fields, and the Doanes Park Youth Center are available to reserve by calling 515-262-9368.

    Hunt for Gold in City Parks
    The annual gold hunt will take place the weeks of June 20, 27; July 11, 18, 25; and August 1, Saturday, June 4 from 8 - 11 am at Doanes, Dar Mar, Oak Hill, Sunrise, Copper Creek Lake and Sunset Parks. Click here for more information.

    Golden Nuggets
    Pleasant Hill on Wheels
    This free event provides kids of all ages an opportunity to climb on a snowplow, backhoe, dump truck, tool cat and fire truck. Event is held in the west parking lot of the library. This year's event is Tuesday, June 28 from 10-11 am.
